Nepal 2005

A PBI volunteer on accompaniment in Nepal in 2005

Groups we Accompany

From women's groups in Colombia and Indonesia, indigenous communities in Mexico, Guatemala and Papua to lawyers in Nepal, we accompany a wide variety of threatened activists all over the world.

What they all have in common is struggling for their rights against heavy odds and receiving threats or violence for carrying out their work.

We salute their courage and are proud to stand with them.

What they say

"Our great respect and admiration for their altruistic work, as well as our enormous gratitude links us with PBI. I can say with certainty that if we are still alive, it is mainly because of PBI's work."
Luis Guillermo Pérez Casas, member of the Lawyers' Collective "José Alvear Restrepo", Bogota, Colombia.
