Human Rights Defenders in the State of Guerrero: cases of resistance and initiatives from civil society regarding the defense and promotion of fundamental rights in Guerrero

This publication is based on PBI Mexico´s 8 years of experience working in Guerrero.

The first part of this text presents initiatives from social and human rights organizations in the state.

The second section outlines visions and proposals of Mexican authorities and international human rights organizations.

In conclusion, the text discusses the risks faced by human rights defenders in Guerrero and PBI´s accompaniment activities in the state.

This publication is available in English, Spanish and German.

PBI Nepal Impunity Publication - May 2011

The culture of impunity in Nepal related to conflict-era crimes continues and affects present-day access to justice. There is an absence of rule of law in many areas and rising insecurity as a result. Human rights defenders working against impunity or within this environment are made vulnerable.
