The Bogotá Team (in coordination with the Barancabermeja and Uraba Teams)

The Bogota team accompanies the Inter-Church Justice and Peace Commission (CIJP) since 1994, the José Alvear Restrepo Lawyers’ Collective (CCAJAR, 1995), the Committee in Solidarity with Political Prisoners (FCSPP, 1998), the Corporation for Judicial Freedom (CJL, 2001), the Social Corporation for Community Advisory and Training Services (COS-PACC, 2009) and the Association for Social Research and Action (NOMADESC, 2011).  In addition, the team accompanies the lawyers José Daniel Álvarez (2005) and Jorge Molano (2009) as well as journalist Claudia Julieta Duque (2010).

PBI Colombia has worked in Bogota since 1994, carrying out international accompaniment and observation in diverse regions throughout the country.

The Barrancabermeja Team

The Barrancabermeja team accompanies the Regional Corporation for the Defence of Human Rights (CREDHOS, 1994), the Luis Carlos Pérez Lawyers’ Collective (CCALCP, 2006), and the Peasant Farmers’ Association of the Cimitarra River Valley (ACVC, 2007).   This team also accompanies members of the Bucaramanga chapter of FCSPP (2011) and Lilia Peña of the Magdalena Medio Victim’s Association (ASORVIMM, 2011).

PBI Colombia has worked in Barrancabermeja since 1994.  The team travels frequently to different municipalities in the departments of Santander, Northern Santander, Bolivar and Antioquia.

The Uraba Team

The Uraba team accompanies the San Jose de Apartado Peace Community (1999) and the Inter-Church Justice and Peace Commission (CIJP) in their work with the Community for Self-determination, Life and Dignity in Cacarica (CAVIDA, 1998) and with Humanitarian Zones in Jiguamiandó (2003) and Curbaradó (2006).

The team works out of the town of Apartado and has carried out accompaniment in the Uraba region that spans the departments of Antioquia and Choco since 1997.
