A PBI volunteer on accompaniment in Nepal in 2005

Groups we Accompany

From women's groups in Colombia and Indonesia, indigenous communities in Mexico, Guatemala and Papua to lawyers in Nepal, we accompany a wide variety of threatened activists all over the world.

What they all have in common is struggling for their rights against heavy odds and receiving threats or violence for carrying out their work.

We salute their courage and are proud to stand with them.

What they say

"...I, too would like to pay tribute to the work of Peace Brigades International and to the bravery of the volunteers. Through their work, they are able to provide the sort of protection in Choco, Urabá and elsewhere that the armed forces cannot provide."
Tony Lloyd (Ex-Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, British Government
