This is Elizabeth Penashue, who is well known for leading many of the protests against low-level flight
training over Nitasinnan. For Elizabeth and for many Innu, it is their life in the bush which is at the heart
of their culture and beliefs. It is precisely this culture and way of life that is threatened by the structural
violence faced by the Innu people in Canadian society.
