"Your successful experience in Haiti in 1993, and the situation here in 1995, compels us to turn to you again and ask for a renewed presence."
Bishop Emmanuel Constant, Gonaïves, Haiti.

Peace Brigades International (PBI) is an international organization working in the area of nonviolence, offering, among other things, unarmed protective accompaniment to human rights activists and communities threatened with violence. By invitation, PBI carried out a long-term project in Haiti from December 1995 to July 2000. You will find below a list of reports on human rights in Haiti and on the work carried out by the PBI team.
