About PBI USAPeace Brigades International USA is a group of committed individuals united in a common vision of promoting peace and human rights. BoardPBI/USA's activities are planned by the National Coordinating Committee, our board of directors. This group is composed of peace and human rights activists, former PBI field volunteers, and others. The NCC meets twice a year at places around the USA. Office PBI/USA has two staff people, Co-Directors Andrew Fandino and Barbara Wien, who operate out of the organization's Washington, DC office. The office is also staffed with fantastic volunteer interns, without whom our work simply would not get done! Field Volunteers PBI/USA fields U.S. volunteers on PBI's field teams in various countries, working as international human rights monitors, usually for periods of at least one year. Alumni We have an expanding network of PBI "alumni," that is people who have previously served with us in any of the above capacities, and are planning to do more activities to keep in touch with each other and to share their skills.
