Current members are Jenny Brav (France), Lucy Carver (UK), and Camille Coleman (U.S.A.). Planned deployments in the coming months include Athena Michelle (U.S.A.) and Lucy Mathieson (New Zealand)

Registration

This is a key issue for us at the moment. Thanks to the tenacity of our team, we have made solid progress on this front: our application has been approved in the Social Welfare Council, and has been sent on for approval, which we are told could take 2-3 weeks. At that point, we will have a General Agreement, which is a precursor to a Project Agreement.

Networking

The team maintains a rigorous schedule of meetings with a whole host of stakeholders. Priority has been given to meetings with Nepali officials at the Social Welfare Council, donor agencies and Kathmandu human rights organizations.

Orientation

The team has initiated a pilot two-week orientation for incoming field volunteers. Elements include an intensive Nepali language course, formal orientations; question and answer sessions, external speakers, practical hands-on sessions, integrated orientation/planning sessions, and self-study.
